What you’ll see in action: This performance will have an onstage prompter throughout the evening who will be an integrated part of the stage action. Having a professional prompter allows veteran performers with high levels of PTSD and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) to feel safe and have confidence on stage so the focus in performance becomes being able to tell the story and express the emotions of the moment rather than struggle for the lines. All stories enacted in tonight’s performance have come from veterans involved in Feast of Crispian programs. Many of the stories, however, do not belong to the veteran actors who are performing them. To maintain a sense of emotional safety in the public exposure of performance, many stories have been anonymized by placing them in the voices of other actors.
